What we collect
- Listing a business or an event: the business or event details you type in (name, category, suburb, description, links), your name, email and, if you give it, your phone number and a logo or poster.
- Premium: Stripe handles your payment. We never see your card number. Stripe sends us your name, email and subscription status so we can set you up.
- Visiting the site: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
What we do with it
- Business and event details go on the public Directory or Events page. That’s the point of them.
- Your email is never published, and neither is the phone number on an event submission. For a business listing, the phone number, website and social links you give are part of the public listing, so only add the ones you want customers to see. We use your email only to get in touch about your listing or subscription.
- Submissions are stored in a private Google Sheet and Google Drive folder that only we can access.
- We don’t sell, rent or share your details with anyone else, and we don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask.
Removing your details
Email [email protected] and we’ll take down your listing and delete your submission. Stripe keeps payment records for as long as the law requires.
The Irish Around Sydney Facebook group is run on Facebook, so Meta’s privacy policy applies to anything you post or do there.
